Our values.

Integrity. At Dignus, we operate with integrity. This is our number one. Whether it be in a workout, ensuring we do each and every rep to our best personal standard, or if we are out at a comp representing the box, we are not trying to cut corners just to win.

Respect. We respect each other, our coaches, other athletes at competition and the judges that oversee our reps. As well as the coaches showing utmost respect to their athletes. And above all we respect ourselves! It’s a two-way street at Dignus and we can comfortably say there is a high level of respect from all angles instilled in our community.

Family. We are family; a funny word that kind of morphs its meaning inside our box. We all call each other family, even though we don’t have the same mother. Our tight-nit bonds and almost loving support we dedicate to one another before, after and during class, at social events, at competition – as coaches, it really is above and beyond what we ever expected to witness as box owners (it’s incredible!).

Fun. We don’t believe in rules, sergeant-style discipline or pulling the enjoyment out of training in anyway. We encourage every athlete to work hard, trust us, but never before having fun. Enjoy what you do and you will thrive. Training at Dignus is not a chore. It really is a ball of fun! The electric environment, playful (yet experienced) coaching and good attitudes makes the Dignus community a joy to be involved with.

What we do.

We move.

Your body becomes the machine.  You will squat, jump, lift, throw, climb and push in an open space where actual machines are void.  You will move in ways that are functional to everyday life.  These movements will vary every workout so you never get a chance to adapt.  You are a prime mover, made to engage in physical challenges.  CrossFit programming is set around ten fitness domains; cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy.  Mixing these together results in an incredible increase in physical preparedness and fitness.

Our box fosters a professional environment where training is put first.  We have dedicated coaches to assist you with achieving your personal goals and to push you when you need a challenge.  Functioning well and performing movements correctly are a high priority, so expect to have your technique constantly monitored and fine-tuned.  Our community is one that will inspire you and motivate you to do your absolute best.

At Dignus, we pride ourselves in the way we approach every workout.  Coaches and athletes will always give their best.  You will be motivated to respect yourself, your coaches, and each other.  Acting with dignity, in a meritorious manner, is our moral code.  There is no “worthy” meter. You are just worthy. Period.  You are accountable for your own results; so you determine your hard.  We accept all walks of life. Diversity is celebrated.

What does Dignus mean?

The word Dignus is Latin for worthy.  It is a quality one has when they act with human dignity and truly believe they are deserving of respect and merit.  Human dignity is a basic value of human beings with its own essence in structuring character.  This character is what we strive to unveil at Dignus by overcoming the obstacles in your mind.  Reaching your full potential requires mental toughness and to be mentally tough you must first believe in yourself. A perfectly disciplined will that refuses to give in.  It is by adopting these qualities that you become DIGNUS.
