Bodybuilding and accessory work is one of the most under looked areas of training for all CrossFit and general population athletes. The foundation you develop from the typical bodybuilding exercises are key to ones success as an athlete and for overall health and wellbeing.
As CrossFitter’s we need to ensure that we have these foundations to a tee to protect our bodies from overuse injuries which you may commonly suffer. Building a strong foundation will lead to being a better and stronger athlete in the long term.
At Dignus, we run a bodybuilding class on Friday, at 5.30pm which focuses on different muscle groups each week. It is almost like you are at a globo gym, however you have a coach guiding you and programming for you what will supplement best with CrossFit. We don’t go to failure, we don’t work till complete muscle pump, what we do is work the right amount of reps, working the right areas with the perfect technique and movement patterns to assist you in becoming the best athlete possible.
