Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 26, 2017 I saw this via Amazon Instant Video. But pairing Sam Worthington with Hinds as young and old David was ridiculous casting and spoiled the illusion for me.

Although this film was very loosely based on the real life kidnapping of Adolph Eichmann in the 1960s, "The Debt" is not set in Argentina, but rather in Israel, Germany, and Ukraine. Please try againSorry, we failed to record your vote.

Saw a clip of this film on and old DVD and thought it looked good. Watch for $0.00 with Prime. The cast are superb, and the assured direction & cinematography make for an absorbing and gripping experience. Video availability outside of United States varies. This is not a good review on my part but I suggest watching and deciding yourself. Arrived on time as expected and lived up to the clip. This movie grabs you from the beginning, and has a great story line and well developed characters. Interesting movie (no spoilers!). The story of this film could be gripping. You need to bear with the film for the first 15 minutes or so as it shifts around all over the place as we're dealing with the present and the past here, but in hindsight, it's a fine opening that sets you up for a sombre journey through to the end. Great audio/video quality on the bluray. The ending is slightly predictable but is left nicely open ended - not very tidy but thought provoking nonetheless. There are some powerful Nazi hunter films, this is certainly not one of them. The movie is fast paced, the story is interesting, keeps you guessing to the last minute, it's one of those movies you have to see 2 or 3 times to really get it all. Don't waste your money in buying it! It tells the story of three Mossad agents who in 1964, are sent on a mission to capture `The Surgeon of Birkenau'.
