The first thing I do when this comes out on Spotify is to make a playlist with all the TB tracks.

Normally in a TSFH album there are a few songs that are WAYYY better than the rest of the album and then there are some that I just skip as soon as they start. Dragon. In the end, I'm pretty sure I'll come to love pretty much the entire album after multiple listens, same as other TSFH releasesPerhaps Thomas decided to put more positive tracks here.

Meine Favoriten und Anspieltipps: Unbreakable, Bravestone, Emerald Princess (11 Minuten lang! 01. As with all albums though, most songs will eventually grow on me.EDIT: I lied. The most important is there is frequently a lack of a prominent melody/motif and even more rare that there is a good, catchy melody that is well-developed. I also think it's becoming more prominent how big a role Nick Phoenix plays in the overall feel of the albums too, you're right - the reason Battlecry is still the best album overall is because Nick's music did an incredible job bridging the gap between Thomas' huge pieces.

Even though I prefer to listen to Thomas' music more (he just has so much more going for him), I still consider Nick as one of my favorite composers because what he's written that has caught my attention, has indeed made an impact on me.There really are many pieces from the past from Nick that I love as well and will probably listen to the rest of my life such as the ones I already mentioned in the post plus others including Sad to say it, but your harsh comments regarding Nick are pretty much spot on for me as well. I loved all of it, and there were so many unexpected twists in various song that I didn't see coming.I loved all of it - definitely right up there with Skyworld and Unleashed for me (two of my favorite albums). I was getting to like TSFH (and to listen to music at all) gradually, my next songs were Protectors of the Earth, Heart of Courage, Spirit of Champions, heard in 2014. It's almost not fair to Nick to have his pieces in the same album because Nick's are completely eclipsed by Thomas'. Impossible. I’d say it’s definitely worthy of the album title.I keep listening and it’s not growing lol. 03:44 02. Nighthawk: Along with Emerald Princess, this is the major stand-out of this album. I also feel that a lot of his "melodies" aren't so much melodies as they are droning chord progressions, whether it being through brass or piano, backed up by the same percussion riffs. That being said, I can't say something like that without mentioning how much I LOVE the pieces of Nick's that really shine from the other albums - "Fall of the Fountain World" is one of my favorite tracks that he's ever written, and I think a big part of it is because it has a more distinguishable melody that develops between the brass, vocals, and strings throughout. At The Wall is one of my favorites in the album and that really caught me off guard.Completely agree. It is similar to its predecessors The album is a good length at over 1:20 with only 19 pieces. Apparently you have to listen to the album 10 times over for the tunes to be unlocked in your mind as "amazing" and to get the achievement. In my opinion, Unleashed is still better [ I don't know why more people don't like it :( ] than Dragon, albeit not by that much, but Dragon is better than Vanquish (which was still damn great).I do agree with this, fewer of those melodies that immediately get you all in.

tsfh dragon emerald princess

I rarely listen to the NP tracks more than a couple of times. Hopefully that means his solo album will be masterful again.Sure good album, but not even close to their previous releases.

Gift of the Gods: You're still reading? Definitely more use of vocals and I like the different styles and paces they use. It's subjective and reflects my own personal opinions.

I would compare this album to Agree with pretty much everything you said on here, especially what you said about Nick. I appreciate TSFH's ability to include variety in their albums and weave them together so the transitions are never jarring. Thomas' melodies are well-developed but stay true to the original motif. Okay, cool. Dragon. Nick wrote one more piece than Thomas but if I'm not mistaken Thomas' pieces account for more time on the album. I do think the other reviewer overrated several of Nick’s pieces, but I think this review overrates several of Thomas’ and underrates several of Nick’s.EDIT: Talking about their work in Dragon, since that seemed to be unclearthat includes his contributions to Battlecry which I have zero memory of whatsoever.Really? 12 years later, TSFH has been featured in hundreds of movie ads, including some of the biggest blockbusters of recent time, as well as thousands of TV ads and programs. 03:43 05. Definitely a consistent albumI think it's my favorite album now. Dragon. In my opinion, Unleashed is still better [ I don't know why more people don't like it :( ] than Dragon, albeit not by that much, but Dragon is better than Vanquish (which was still damn great). Unbreakable is awesome but all of other tracks are " good but nothing spectacular " , which is not what I excepted from TSFH...Definitely better than Unleashed , comparable to Battlecry which I think was their best album ( before Dragon) . Furthermore, the melodies Nick does have are frequently carried and driven by drums or only deep brass which I think should be primarily supporting instruments. Two Steps from Hell. Like others have said there are no bad songs. Illumina Anthology. They're great, but when everything is repeated four times everything is repeated four times everything is repeated four times everything is repeated four times it starts to get a bit long.
