iN-PUBLiC was relaunched in 2020 with a renewed commitment to present the best photography from the public realm that faithfully records everyday life without staging or manipulation.iN-PUBLiC is an International Cooperative of Photographers.Broadly, Street Photography is a documentary form of Photography produced candidly in the public realm without staging or manipulation.But Street Photography is far more nuanced than this factual description implies, there is a tradition and a heritage that has built up around Street Photography since photographers first started recording life in public places and its development is closely aligned to the development of photography as a medium and to technology in general. I don’t think just because a photo is candid makes it any better than a photo with permission. This means rather than taking a full-body shot of someone on the streets, focus on their hands, their feet, their face, their earrings, or anything else they are holding.By showing less of what is going on in the photograph, you create more mystery in your image. However if you do it well, you will create a compelling and emotional image that people can connect with on a deeper level.Not all street photography needs to be super emotional.
