On 24 November 1918 she was seized by British-French forces and passed to White forces. The Soviet cruiser Krasnyi Kavkaz (from Russian: " Красный Кавказ " - "Red Caucasus ") is a heavy cruiser of the Soviet Navy that began construction during World War I, but was still incomplete during the Russian Revolution.
On 14 November 1920 she left in Sevastopol by leaving Vrangel’s forces (Whites) while evacuating to Stambul and on 22 November 1920 at last seized by units of Workers and Peasants Red Army. In the autumn of 1941 she supported the defenders of Odessa and escorted reinforcement troops to the beleaguered city until its fall, when she participated in the evacuation operations. 11 March 1942 she was damaged by German bombs but not seriously. Today Komintern’s hull is still there. She saw service during World War I in the Black Sea and survived the Russian Civil War, although heavily damaged.
